Melba Wright Burton Roe Obituary (1916 - 2013)

Melba Wright Burton Roe Melba Wright Burton Roe, passed away peacefully at 4:43 a.m. on May 24, 2013 at the age of 97. She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Velma Thomas, her brother, Roland Wright and her parents, William S. Wright and Lura Chambers Wright. She is survived by three children, Stephen W. Burton (widower) Gerald W. (Annette) Burton and Maureen Burton (Ronald) Haag. Melba was born March 16, 1916. She married Walton Richards Burton on November 5, 1937 in the Salt Lake City Temple. They divorced in 1956. She married Arthur Baugh in 1961, he passed away in 1986. In 1992 she married Lawrence Jackson Roe and they were still married on the day she passed. She was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all the days of her life. She will be missed all the days of our lives by her three children. We know she is now free, no more pain, and is once again with her beloved twin and her parents. Until we see you again our most loved Mother. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at the Ogden City Cemetery, 1875 Monroe Blvd, per her wishes. Arrangements entrusted to Ogden Myers Mortuary.
