Melissa Jean Hague, our loving mother, grandmother (Nana), sister, mother-in-law and friend, passed away on March 4, 2015. Melissa was born on Sept. 13, 1950 in Salem, OR. She was the daughter of Lloyd and June Hague. Melissa spent her childhood in Ogden, graduating from Ogden High in 1968, Stevens Henagar, and attended Weber State College. She worked for the US Forest Service and retired from Hill Air Force Base. She managed to raise four boys with only cuts, scrapes, three broken arms, and one set of knocked out teeth.
Melissa was a very loving person and would give you the shirt off her back. For many years she opened her home to many of the boys' friends and cared for them as if they were her own. Only strangers knocked at her door - "Come on in and announce yourself." Everyone was welcome at Mom's house. Melissa enjoyed sewing, reading novels, and most of all her four sons and grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons, Zac (Cherrie), Matt (Tamara), Josh Van Meeteren, and Joey (Lindsey) Black; sister, Susan Smith; grandchildren, Dylan, Bailey, Kasten, Teagun, Brooklyn, Gracie, Brody and Bradley. She is preceded in death by her mother; father and her dog (best friend) Sunny.
Mom is remembered as a bright, intelligent, witty and beautiful woman.
"We love you Mom." - Your Boys
