Meloy Raymond Johnson Obituary (1929 - 2013)

Meloy R. Johnson ROY - Meloy Johnson, our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grand father returned to his Heavenly Father on Friday, May 10, 2013. Meloy was born in Logan Utah to Raymond Johnson and Mable Nowland Johnson on October 6, 1929. He married Afton Anderson on September 18, 1956 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He served an LDS mission in the North Central States. Meloy is a member of the LDS Church where he served faithfully in many positions including Bishopric member, Ward and Stake Clerk and was an Ogden Temple Ordinance worker for seven and one half years. He enjoyed traveling, camping and working in the yard. He is survived by his wife Afton; children Cathy, Lori (Kevin), Judy (Brent), Sherri (Chad), David (Heidi), and Duane; and brother's Stanley and Bruce; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and daughter Nancy. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Roy 16th Ward, 4524 S. 2525 W. in Roy. There will be a viewing at the church prior to the services Saturday from 9:00-10:30 a.m. Interment will be at the Roy City Cemetery. Funeral directors, Myers Roy Mortuary.
