M. Nadine Smith Obituary (1919 - 2009)

M. Nadine Smith EDEN - Nadine, 89, died May 25, 2009 in Ogden. She was born September 4, 1919 in Humbolt, AZ the daughter of Howard and Hazel Naomi Allen Lipe. Before living in Eden she lived in Walnut Creek, CA for 41 years. She married Hugh Milton Smith May 30, 1942 in Los Angeles, CA; he preceded her in death June 20, 1997. Nadine was a member of the LDS Church; she served as Relief Society President in Florida; she also served for many years in the Primary organization. She supported her husband Hugh when he served as Bishop and on the High Council in the Miami Florida Stake. Nadine was the Queen of Entertainment, the Decorating Diva, and the master of the Shopping Cart. She created a beautiful yard no matter where she lived. She is survived by her two sons, Steven Clare (Judy) Smith and Warren (Debby) Smith both of Eden; 8 biological grandchildren and 11 grandchildren by marriage; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents and 5 sisters. Friends may call on Thursday, May 28, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden.
