Michael Kelley

ROY - Michael Kelley, 60, loving husband, father, grandfather and friend passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2011.

He was born March 31, 1951 in Downey, Idaho to McBoyd and Erma Fink Kelley.
Michael married Kathy Everton on May 16, 1975 in the Logan Temple.

He was a veteran serving in the Army during the Vietnam War.

Michael lived in Arimo, Idaho from March 1951 to 1962, 1962 to 1977 in Roy, 1977 to 1989 in Clinton and 1989 to 2011 in Roy, Utah.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Serving in various positions, as Elders Quorum, Activities Committee, Sunday school, helped his wife in Young Women's Calling, and a devoted Home Teacher. Michael helped anyone in need.

Michael worked and retired from Hill Air Force Base aftre 35 years.

He loved fishing, shooting, carpentry, travel, road trips, working in his yard, enjoyed Sci-Fi and westerns, playing with his grandchildren, loved handing out candy at church to anyone. He loved his children and would be there for any event and always made it to them.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Kelley of Roy; children: Erin (Jonathan) Stilwell of Roy; Kahleen (Josh) Meyer of Perry; Kevin (fiancAC.e - Jennifer) Kelley of South Ogden; Kimberly (Wesley) Williams of West Haven; Kayla Staley of Roy; Jason Kelley of Roy; brothers and sisters, Boyd Kelley of West Point; Ron Kelley of Plain City; Julie Dutra of Clinton; Norma Peterson of Stockton, CA; Patricia Kelley of Roy; grandchildren, Shelby Jensen, Tyler Jensen, Karly Jensen, Caden Meyer, Jaxson Meyer, Xander Meyer, Robert Staley, Kristin Williams, Jerrick Stilwell, Cameron Staley, Emmit Williams.

He was preceded in death by his parents, parents-in-law, Clarence Jay and Zora Everton, brothers-in-law, Dennis Dutra and John Peterson.

Special thanks to the Veterans Hospital and caregivers.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 22, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Monte Vista Ward, 3845 South 2000 West, Roy. A viewing will be held Friday at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West, Roy from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday at the church from 11:40 a.m. to 12:40 p.m. prior to services.

Interment, Roy City Cemetery where Military Honors will be accorded.
