Michael Acle Rathbone passed on May 4, 2015. Mike was born October 21, 1951 to Joe R. and Ora (Prescott) Rathbone in Coalville, Utah. He graduated from Montpelier High School in Idaho. He served honorably in the United States Marine Corps.

Mike was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He graduated from seminary and served faithfully in several callings. He was always a leader in life. He was friendly to those he encountered; he loved people and they loved him.

Mike married Pauline Rios on April 27, 2013; their marriage was solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple on April 15, 2015.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting and being with family. It was tradition in the family to go hunting every year. He enjoyed tinkering and fixing things around the home and garage. He dreamed that someday he would captain a ship.

Mike is survived by his wife Paula; son, Shaun Rathbone; mother, Ora; brother, Ron (Sheila) Rathbone and sister, Dahrl (Michael) Langner. He was preceded in death by his father; his daughter, Heather; brother, Jimmy Lee; and sister, Carolyn.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at the So. Ogden 3rd Ward Chapel, 4075 Orchard Ave. A viewing will be held on Friday, May 8th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. and Saturday at the church prior to the service from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
