Mona Ree Pett

Mona Ree Blanch Pett passed away peacefully in her home on June 28, 2023 at the age of 90. She was born on December 02, 1932 in Ogden, Utah, a daughter of Charles Elmer Blanch and Lola Ann Herrick Blanch.
After her father died when she was 15, she became a wonderful caregiver to her two younger siblings, allowing her mother to provide financially for the family. She met her future husband W. Roger Pett while he was home on leave from the Navy. They married in the Salt Lake Temple on June 25, 1954. They welcomed their first child in April of 1955, and their second child in September of 1959. Her and Roger enjoyed many nights of square dancing. She retired from LDS Social Services after 21 years of employment. She enjoyed her many years of retirement shopping with her daughter and grand kids, doing many puzzles, and reading.
She is survived by her daughter Lari (Cary) Schofield, her sister Lana (Dennis, deceased) Hadley, her brother Mark (Lorraine) Blanch. She had seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Roger and her son Curtis.
The viewing will be held Wednesday July 5, 2023 at 11:00 am, at Myers Mortuary, 5865 S. 1900 W., Roy, Utah. Followed by graveside services at the Roy City Cemetery, 5200 S. 2300 W., Roy, Utah.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to Primary Children's Hospital, whose efforts in cancer care has saved her great-grandson's life.
