Myrtle Nevada Payne Anderson Obituary (1929 - 2009)

Myrtle Nevada Payne Anderson "Together Again" TAYLOR - Myrtle Nevada Payne Anderson returned home to her Heavenly Father on Saturday, January 17, 2009. She was born March 15, 1929 in Ogden, Utah, to Albert Marx and Sallie Viana Payne. She belonged to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she held many callings in Primary, Sunday School, Visiting Teacher and she was very proud of serving as secretary in the Relief Society under seven presidencies. Before marriage she worked in many stores, JC Penney's, CC Andersons, Woolworths, and Grants and was very busy when she wasn't working at the stores helping her father and mother on the farm. On December 9, 1945 Mom married the love of her life, Irvin Anderson, after spitting a cherry pit on his white sailor hat. She and Dad became eternal sweethearts on March 8, 1979 in the Ogden LDS Temple. Irvin was the water master for Hooper and Wilson Irrigation Company where she was the secretary. Mom also worked at Weber Memorial Hospital for several years and Fram Corporation for 12 years. Her family was her world. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and best friend. Mom took great pride in being a Naval wife where she treasured the life long friendships she made. She enjoyed country music, square dancing and singing. She spent many hours serving others. Mom showed unconditional love and service to everyone. Mom is survived by Jolene (Buzz) Mitton of Wellsville, Utah; Joe (Marjean) Anderson, Marsha (Tom) Moline, Mark (LuAnn) Anderson, Don Anderson, Dean (Robin) Anderson, Terry (Tricia) Anderson all of Taylor; Kayleen Anderson of Washington Terrace, 35 grandchildren and their spouses, 48 great-grandchildren and six sweet angels on the way, five sisters-in-law, and four brothers-in-law. Mom was preceded in death by her sweetheart Irvin, her parents, five brothers, Art, Kern, Dick, Bill and Butch, and five sisters, Mima, Betty, Pat, Ethal and Belva. Our family would like to thank Legacy HealthCare and staff for the exceptional care and love they showed for our mother. Mom truly knew that she was loved by each one that took care of her. She too, would like to thank Legacy HealthCare for all the love and affection they gave her. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 22, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Taylor 3rd Ward, 2200 South 4300 West, Taylor. Friends may call on Wednesday at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Thursday at the church from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, West Weber Cemetery.
