Nancy M. Roop

Ogden - Nancy M. Roop, 66, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Sunday, October 17, 2004, from cancer.

She was born February 12, 1938 in Pitcairn, PA to Charles and Genevieve Salyards. She married Gail Roop, August 18, 1971, in Maryland.

She worked at Westinghouse in Pittsburgh, PA and retired from Western Zirconium in 1994. She recently started working at Washington House Assisted Living.

She enjoyed Japanese Bunka and line dancing.

Nancy was chosen to be blessed with the gift of love. She spent her life sharing her gift. She truly cared for everyone in her life. She had a rare ability to have a lasting effect on everyone she met She made everyone around her feel important, needed, understood and most of all, loved! Because she shared her gift, we too, have been blessed. We will miss you dearly and will always love you.

She is survived by her mom; her husband, Gail; a son, Philip (April) Ritzinger, Plain City; stepsons, Marc (Darla) Roop, Pleasant View; Clayton (Barbara) Roop, West Haven; Mike (Mary) Roop, Pennsylvania; five grandchildren, one brother, Chuck (Judy) Salyards, Phoenix, AZ.

She was preceded in death by her father.
