Nancy Evelyn (Burdett) Stanley Obituary (1936 - 2021)

Nancy E. Stanley entered into eternal life on May 31, 2021. She is preceded in death by her husband Howard D. Stanley, her children Hallie (Roberto) and Mark, and her sisters Juanita and Ethel. Nancy loved her grandchildren Megan Durasin, Cole Stanley, and Luke Stanley. Nancy also remained in close contact with her nieces and nephews Cecilia Swanson, Nancy Lawson, Price Mullins, Victoria Mullins, Jeffrey Mullins, and Pat Mullins. Nancy kept a special place in her heart for Lloyd Canterbury, a friend of her sons and a neighbor who she counted as another son. She too counted as sons David Durasin and Roberto Medina. Nancy worked for Sheffield-Sheffield Lake City Schools as the head cook of Brookside High School. Many years of fond memories were forged in the school kitchen. She kept in touch with the "lunch ladies" through the years, and blessed family and friends with fun stories of the antics of her years of service to Brookside High School. Nancy enjoyed dining out with friends, site seeing, and relaxing with cups of coffee and conversation. A lover of history, she was excited to visit her daughter Hallie in Spain. She oftentimes shared the memories of her visits. She always made sure to watch her favorite game show Jeopardy! and she could often be found completing crossword puzzle books in her free time along with watching classic television shows. Nancy will be missed by her friends at Fellowship Manor. The family is grateful for all the lovely people who made her life in Utah joyful. Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, June 26th at 11:00am at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, 44805 North Ridge Road, Amherst, Ohio 44001
