CLEARFIELD - On Sunday, July 26, 2009 Naomi Rogers Burris left
this life to go to a place where she will finally find days full of joy and happiness, where she will be free of pain forever, and where she will never be lonely anymore.

Naomi was born September 13, 1917, in Hyrum, Utah to Lorenzo Gildren Rogers and Amanda Christina Larson. She grew up in a family of four children, and when she was a teenager the family moved to Ogden.

On February 23, 1944, she married Alden S. (Pete) Burris in Salt Lake City. Their marriage lasted for forty seven years until he passed away in December of 1990.

Naomi was a loving wife and mother. She was a wonderful cook and homemaker. Her home was always beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. She was a lady in every sense of the word.

The joy of her life and the shinning star in her later years was her one and only grandson Bradley. They spent many hours together doing all the things that grandmas do.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Vicki Ann and (Scott) Herrick of Clinton, Utah and grandson, Bradley Scott Herrick.

Special thanks to all the kind people from Chancellor Gardens and Love Hospice. Their care was very much appreciated by the family.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, July 30, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Ogden.
