Nilda Perez Rosado Obituary (2006)

Nilda Rosado Nilda, born June 1, 1935 passed away peacefully Saturday July 8th after a valiant and courageous fight with cancer. She was surrounded by her loved ones. She had a special kindred spirit and was a gift from God. Nilda was always willing to help people in anyway possible without expecting anything in return, although Nilda only had one daughter she was a mother to many and a grandma and a nanna to so many others. Nilda was so full of life; she loved her Puerto Rican-American heritage, salsa music, dancing and lived life through the Lord. Nilda was extraordinary in her cooking ability, loved her work as a volunteer, interpreter and senior companion. She married Ernesto Correa, they later divorced. She is survived by her daughter Denise Perez House (Jerry), three grandchildren (Shanae, Avery and Vanessa). Her brother Angel, two nieces that she raised as her own (Judy and Terry) and many close aunts, uncles, cousins, and many close friends.. Predeceased by her mother Lila, father Angel, twin brother Ismael and her second husband Olympio. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Huntsman Cancer Institute. The family would like to thank Legacy Hospice Healthcare for her care in her last days. Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday July 11 from 6-7:30 pm for a celebration of Nildas life and prayer service from 7:30-8 pm at Myers Mortuary, 250 N. Fairfield Rd., Layton. Nildas beloved cousin the Rev. Roberto J. Perez, O. Carm. Will be celebrating her funeral Mass on Wednesday, July 12th at 9 am at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 210 Chapel St., Layton.
