Beverly Barnett Ames Obituary (1925 - 2015)

Beverly Barnett Ames Nina Beverly Barnett Ames passed away surrounded by her family on April 11, 2015 at home. She was born January 21, 1925 in Ogden, Utah to Genevieve Jenkins and Andrew L. Barnett. She graduated from Ogden High in 1943. Beverly married Blaine Ames in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on February 12, 1943. As a member of the LDS Church she served in all women organizations on the ward level. She loved to travel and go camping. Family meant everything to her. The most precious things in her life were her grandchildren; they made her life a heaven on earth. Beverly is survived by her husband, Blaine, of 72 years; two sons, Richard Ames and Alan Ames (Debbi); her daughter-in-law, Judy Ames; 6 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, her twin, Bernice Cisney, and LuJeanne Peters. She was preceded in death by one son, Robert A. Ames; one sister, Ruth Fowers; 2 grandchildren and a great-grandson. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Interment in the Ogden City Cemetery.
