Nola Manning Obituary (1926 - 2002)

Nola Anderson Manning OGDENa"Nola A. Manning, age 75, passed away suddenly Saturday, October 5, 2002, at McKay-Dee Hospital. She was born December 6, 1926 in Ogden, Utah, daughter of Ethel and Carl Anderson. She married Wallace J. Manning October 5, 1946 in Ogden, Utah. She enjoyed her family very much and always looked forward to a visit or call from any one of them, especially since she lost her husband, Jay, in January of 1999. Nola spent 53 years with her loving husband Jay, who together raised five wonderful children, who will always be grateful for the love and support they show to each of them. She enjoyed phone calls and visits from her friends, cousins and sister-in-laws, who kept close ties with her throughout her life. She reunites with her husband on their wedding anniversary and we, as her family, know that her loneliness will now subside. Nola is survived by her children, Carla (Brett) Nixon, Jeff (Holly) Manning, Nick (Cindy) Manning, Gayleen (Duane) Olson, also 17 grandchildren and eight and a half great-grandchildren. Nola was preceded in death by her husband, Jay, son, Michael Jay, her mother, father and her brother, Vaughn. We will have a difficult time understanding her sudden passing, especially since she had made such great improvement with her health over the past few weeks, but the decision to leave the earth has never been one that any of us could make. She never promised any of us anything she could not give but she did succeed in providing us with the only thing she could, and that was a lifetime of her love. We love you mom, thank you for being here to share that with us.
