NolaRae Toole

–

Sunset, Utah

NolaRae Toole, 92, joined the rest of her siblings, husband and pets in heaven on June 5th, 2022, after a challenging journey with Alzheimer's Disease and a sudden and very aggressive bout of cancer. Her spitfire personality and sense of humor maintained to the end.
NolaRae was born on July 24th,1929, and was always proud of having fireworks and the whole state of Utah celebrate her birthday! Her parents Rupert and Verna Flitton knew she would enjoy that.
NolaRae told amazing stories of her work at Defense Depot of Ogden where she'd be able to "find things nobody else could find" and learned to work with electronics at Hill Air Force Base. She loved working but enjoyed retirement too!
NolaRae was married to James Beachler in her 20s, they had two children Douglas and Roger. She later married Archie Toole on August 2nd, 1952, after they met in Roy, Utah. They had three children, Ronald, Terry and Tauna Lyn. As a family they lived in Texas and California and finally settled back in Utah where they welcomed Tauna Lyn, the only girl, into a family of boys.
NolaRae loved to paint and even entered her art in local fairs. She was creative with zipper art too. She volunteered at the Clearfield Senior Center for many years and enjoyed arts and craft classes the best.
NolaRae was preceded in death by all of her siblings, her husband Archie, her sons, Douglas and Terry and all of NolaRae's family pets. She is survived by her 3 children Roger, Ron and Tauna Lyn and their families.
A special thanks is extended to Chancellor Gardens in Clearfield where Sallie and her staff made a home for NolaRae in her last years. Spending time with her new friends, participating in arts and crafts activities and getting her fingernails painted were a few of NolaRae's favorite things to do. The kind and caring staff made NolaRae's life enjoyable. During the last weeks NolaRae welcomed the ladies of Home Helpers and Visiting Angels into her life who diligently stayed by her side to provide care and comfort while attending to her every need. We welcomed these ladies into our lives and are honored to call them friends. Heartfelt appreciation also goes out to the Symbii Hospice Group who were there for support and strength to the family as well as comfort measures to NolaRae. We will be forever grateful for all the "extended family" who cared for NolaRae for so long.
A private family and friends graveside service will be held at the family burial plot.
"See ya later alligator!!" NolaRae would always respond with "after a while crocodile."
