SUNSET - Norma Arave Earl, 81, loving matriarch of our family, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2012, at McKay-Dee Hospital. She was born June 16, 1930, in Ogden, Utah, a daughter of Raymond Eli and Beatrice Lund Arave

On November 30, 1949, she married Dale O. Earl in the Salt Lake Temple. He preceded her in death on May 4, 1994.

Norma was a very active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served two missions; Winnipeg, Canada, and London, England.

She had a heart for service, serving 45 years with the 4-H, volunteering at McKay-Dee Hospital for over 35 years, and working on the Planning Commission for Sunset City, .

Norma enjoyed bowling, roller skating, crafts and DUP. She was the recipient of the Greater North Davis Chamber of Commerce award in 1994.

Norma is survived by her son, Stanley and Mary Earl of Syracuse; daughter, Denise and Richard Dabel of Sacramento, California, 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and brother, Kent and Jodi Arave, South Ogden.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, great-granddaughter, and two brothers.

The family would like to give special thanks to the Medical Staff, doctors and "cute little nurses" at McKay-Dee Hospital.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2012, at 10:00 a.m., at the Sunset 4th Ward, 220 West 975 North, Sunset, Utah. A viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday, January 13, 2012, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., at Myers Roy Mortuary 5865 South 1900 West, Roy, Utah, and on Saturday from 8:45 - 9:45 a.m., prior to services at the church.

Interment in the Hooper City Cemetery.
