Onzlow Leland Nielson Obituary (1920 - 2003)

ONZLOW LELAND NIELSON ROY -- Onzlow Leland Nielson was called home by his Heavenly Father on July 25, 2003 at Heritage Park Care Center, Roy, Utah. He was born August 11, 1920 in Oak City, Utah to Philo Leland Nielson and Wanda Dutson. He graduated from Delta High School. He married Louise Lyman on September 10, 1943 in the Manti Temple. He worked at Hill Air Force Base for 36 years. He was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints; served in several positions and served two missions--one in the North Davis Stake and one with his wife in St. Louis, MO and Modesto, CA where they worked with the deaf. Surviving are his wife and five children; Karen (Roger) Wilde, Roy, UT; Sandra (Kent) Goodrich, Springville, CA; Eddie (Randee) Nielson, Hurricane, UT; Lyman Nielson, Fruit Heights, UT; Karla (Norm) Hess, Fruit Heights, UT; two sister-in-laws, Nora Nielson, Oak City, UT; and Pat Nielson, Bountiful, UT; 21 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Corwin, Acel (Beth) and Edsel Nielson.
