In loving memory of Patricia Lynn Baker, our beloved mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother. She was a resilient and spirited soul who graced this world on March 17, 1938, being born to Marvin and Emma Louise Johnson. She was their only child and her name reflected her St Patrick’s Day birthday. Patricia's journey came to a peaceful close on October 28, 2026.
She was raised in Ogden and graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 1956. She loved to dance and cherished the 1950’s when times were simpler, girls wore poodle skirts, and black and white saddle shoes were all the rage. She romanticized times when she swore the “sky was bluer and the clouds were whiter.”
Patricia married Arthur Olivas, they adopted Carrie, and later divorced. On October 31, 1970, she married James P. Williams. He passed away August 14, 1976. Patricia and Wayne Baker married in Honolulu, Hawaii, on May 7, 1984. They were married for 36 years until Wayne’s passing on March 8, 2020.
Patricia’s career as a surgical technician at McKay-Dee Hospital spanned 30 years during which she became a respected figure. Patricia's dedication touched countless lives, earning her a place in the hearts of her colleagues.
Patricia leaves behind a tapestry woven with cherished memories. Alongside her beloved husband, Wayne, she created a home filled with love, and a collection of beautiful treasures. She and Wayne enjoyed traveling and going with their car club friends for lunch. She delighted in bringing loved ones together for birthdays and holiday celebrations. Halloween held a special place in Patricia's heart, where she eagerly prepared chili and enjoyed her favorite Halloween movie, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, with her grandchildren. Patricia's greatest joy was the love she shared with her family and friends, the true treasures of her life.
She is survived by her daughter Carrie (Chris) Quartuccio, son David (Carma) Baker, daughter Lisa Baker, grandchildren Cade (Chelsea) McGavin, Cole (Stephanie) Quartuccio, Amanda (Jimmy) Christensen, and Zyler (Michelle) Baker, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff of Aspire Hospice, especially Hannah and Norma, for their compassionate care. Special thanks to Carma Baker, Patricia‘s daughter-in-law, for all the extra love, caring, and compassion she has provided for Patricia.
She will be celebrated at a graveside service at Ben Lomond Cemetery, 526 East 2850 North, North Ogden, on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that remembrances be made in the form of contributions to Huntsman Cancer Institute at give.huntsmancancer.org or a charity close to your heart.
