Patricia Ann Heck

–

Syracuse, Utah

Patricia “Patty” Heck, born in New York in 1944 to William and Helen Koch, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on March 6, 2025.

Patricia, affectionately known as "Patty” was a remarkable woman; a nurturing mother and grandmother whose selflessness knew no bounds. She leaves behind a legacy of love that extends far beyond her immediate family, touching the lives of countless individuals who were welcomed into her heart and home as if they were her own.

Patty faced the challenges of life with resilience and grace, enduring the loss of both her husbands, Donald Hicks and Edward J Heck, and three brothers, Willie, Richard, and Ronnie, with grace and perseverance through her devoted love and belief in Jesus Christ.

Her children, Kyle Hicks (Christel), Tracy Hicks (Paul), Luke Hicks (Trisha), and Trevor Hicks (Heidi); cherish the memories of their mother’s endless love, guidance, and encouragement. She leaves behind her brother, Robert Koch; with whom her daily conversations kept them close; her sister, Marie Koch; and her dear friend and companion, Mark Smith.

As a grandmother, Patty was a beacon of joy and warmth to her grandkids: Akkadian, Angel, Hope Ireland, Kyler, Majeska, Saril, Teisha, Tiara, Trinity, Tristien, and many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She embraced her role wholeheartedly, always ready with a hug, a smile, or a listening ear, creating cherished moments they will carry with them forever.

Patty’s home was a haven for many, a place where anyone in need could find comfort, love, and acceptance. Her selfless nature and willingness to lend a helping hand have left an indelible mark on the hearts of those fortunate enough to know her.

Patty’s love of music and belief in a compassionate Jesus was her constant beacon of hope and guidance. She created a home that became a haven for many, a place where anyone in need could find comfort, love, and acceptance.

Patty was an icon in her community. She was always surrounded by loved ones, old and new, laughing, dancing, and sharing stories. Her heart was larger than most; she willingly lent a helping hand, leaving a permanent mark on the hearts of those fortunate enough to know her.

Patty was a proud graduate of Weber State University and adored her purple community of friends and family.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the incredible staff at Beehive Homes Syracuse, with special appreciation for Heather, whose unwavering love and compassion made a profound difference in Patty's life. Your dedication and kindness have truly touched our hearts.
