Patricia Youngman, 74, passed away peacefully at her home on March 10, 2015. Pat was born in Fish Haven, Idaho to Elmer Roberts and Mildred Gardner. Her two older brothers were so excited to have little "Patsy" to care for and love. She was raised in the Bear Lake area and later moved to Ogden where she graduated from Ogden High School. Pat was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Pat married Vernon Lee Youngman on July 23, 1962 in Evanston, Wyoming and they had been married for 52 years. In 1968 they were blessed with a son, Darin, who was the light of their life. Darin had just joined the Professional Bowling Association in 1990, when he died in a tragic automobile accident. Pat and Lee's lives were forever altered that day, but she is now joyously reunited with her beloved son, Darin.

Pat had a very strong work ethic. She worked as a secretary for various companies, then finished her career at Union Pacific Railroad. She was a skilled candy and caramel maker. Family members and friends anxiously awaited the bags of caramels she would make for them at Christmas. The family also fondly remembers the many years of Christmas Eve's spent in her home. She also enjoyed crocheting and each family was a recipient of her beautiful baby blankets. Pat loved to travel with her husband and son and she supported them in their many bowling tournaments. She also loved the memories of boating and camping at Bear Lake.

Pat is survived by her loving husband and two brothers, Elwin Roberts (Ileen) of Layton, and Jerry Roberts (Elaine) of Hacienda Heights, CA. She is also survived by two brother-in-laws, Kent and Dale (Janice) Youngman and one sister-in-law, Joyce Boyce, and by numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give a very special thanks to her neighbors, Mike and Fiona Hurst and their 3 children, for the special care and love they gave to Pat. The family would also like to thank her devoted nieces and nephew, Lori, Ty and Jamie, who spent many hours with Pat and helped in her care. Pat also had many loving friends, whom she loved and greatly appreciated.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. A viewing will be held on Monday, March 16, 2015 from 6-8 pm and prior to services from 9:30-10:30 am at the mortuary. Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery.
