Patsy Stevens

Patsy Stevens, a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away on October 7, 2026. Born and raised in Brigham City, Patsy attended and graduated from Box Elder High School, Box Elder Junior High, and Lincoln Elementary.

Patsy married Evan D Stevens on July 20, 1951, in Logan, Utah. They were married just under 72 years until his passing on July 11, 2023.

She enjoyed camping and going on trips with her family when she could. She was very adamant to go on daily walks until her health no longer allowed her to. Patsy liked to crochet and would often give her crocheted pieces or small gifts of appreciation to those who helped her. Patsy enjoyed doing family history and putting together family albums which included digitalized photos and documents in which she spent many hours organizing for her posterity.

Patsy's caring nature led her to serve as a Nurses Aid at the Pioneer Care Center, where her compassionate heart and dedicated service made a profound impact. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to inspire and comfort her loved ones.

She loved sharing stories of her childhood and courtship with family and caregivers and would often listen to Elvis, Patsy Cline, and Johnny Cash.

Patsy is preceded in death by her parents; James Dean Forsgren and Izora Margurite Whitaker Forsgren and her siblings; Jim Forsgren and Bonnie Forsgren, and her son-in law Tom Elegante.

She is survived by her children; Karen (Rod) Porter, Kurt (Deborah) Stevens, Julie Elegante, and Larry (Kaylynn) Stevens, 17 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.

We extend a heartfelt gratitude to Zoey and Wendi at Hospice for the compassionate care they provided for Patsy. We would also like to thank the staff of Maple Springs for the care that she received there.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2026, from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 South 100 East, Brigham City, Utah.
