Paul Anderson

Paul G. Andersen (88) passed away of natural causes on Monday, November 7, 2022. He was born May 6, 1934, in Brigham City, Utah, to David O. Andersen and Ora Nelson. He was the seventh of seven children and was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters: Nida Rawlinson, Karma Huish, and Lynette Carter; two brothers: Dwayne Andersen and David Odell Andersen; and a granddaughter: Katy Andersen. He is survived by Carol Stone Andersen, his wife for 61 years, and a brother Lloyd N. Andersen.

Paul attended Box Elder High School, Weber State College, and Brigham Young University. He was in the US Army, during the Korean war, where he served as a military chaplain.

At BYU, he completed a B.S. and Master's Degree in Counseling. He married Carol Diane Stone of Victor, Idaho, in the Logan Temple in 1961. Paul was an educator beginning his employment teaching English for CCNZ in Temple View, NZ. After returning to the states he taught in North Ogden and retired from teaching at Brigham City Seminary in 1995.

LDS Church service: mission to Hawaii 1954-56; mission to the Missionary Department in Salt Lake with his wife, 2002-2002. He served as Young Men's President fondly referring to the young men as, "his boys", was a bishop, stake presidency member, a patriarch, and a temple ordinance worker.

Being a husband, father and grandfather were his greatest blessings. Paul and Carol had seven children: Paulette (Scott) Rackham, Farr West, Utah; Janette (Larry) Famuliner, Taylor, Utah; Colleen (Kent) Menlove, Garland, Utah; David (Allison) Andersen, West Haven, Utah, Gaeleen Andersen, Brigham City, Utah; Sherrie (Tad) Wayment, Brigham City, Utah; and Brian Andersen, Brigham City, Utah; 23 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at 1:00 pm at the Brigham City Lake View Ward Chapel 865 South 300 West, Brigham City UT. Family and friends may call from 11:30 to 12:30 prior to the service. Interment will be at the Brigham City Cemetery.
