Colonel (Ret.) Paul H. Johnson, Phd Obituary (1935 - 2012)

Colonel (Ret.) Paul H. Johnson, PhD Ogden - Paul H. Johnson, 76, died July 4, 2012, following a brief illness from brain cancer. He was born September 28, 1935, in Seattle, Washington. He was the son of Paul and Elsa Johnson. Dr. Johnson, a professor of Criminal Justice, retired from Weber State University after 23 years of service. Dr. Johnson also retired as a Colonel in the US Army after serving his country for 30 years. He was appointed to the Four Star Military Commission for the release of POW's in Hanoi, Vietnam. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy L. Johnson.; his daughters: Ellen McChesney, Gail Newton, and Leah Fox. He is also survived by five grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 9, at 3 p.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church, South Ogden. A viewing will be held at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 8. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
