Pearl Catherine Tuttle Draper Obituary (1930 - 2018)

Pearl Catherine Tuttle Draper, 87, passed away March 25, 2018, in West Point, UT. She was born March 26, 1930, in Twin Falls, ID to Josiah Leland Tuttle and Verona Hendrickson Tuttle. She grew up in Provo, UT. She attended Provo High School and LDS Business College. She married H. Norval Draper on December 24, 1946, in Provo. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They were married for 71 years. Pearl was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She held numerous callings in the Church and was proud of her pioneer heritage. She also loved working in the St. George Temple. Pearl and Norval were snowbirds for many years and spent their winters in St. George. They enjoyed golfing and socializing with many friends. Knitting, traveling and especially camping trips with her children and grandchildren were some of Pearl's favorite activities. She loved to play cards and taught her grandchildren many fun card games. They have wonderful memories of great times spent with grandma and grandpa fishing, exploring and enjoying nature. Pearl is survived by her husband and children Vicky (Ken) Strong, West Point, UT; Kathleen (Blaine) Bowers, Layton, UT; Deborah (Steven) Cheney, Evanston, WY; Michelle (Brian) LeBaron, Syracuse, UT and a step-daughter, Kerry (Rod) Synder, Sunset, UT; 23 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Steven H. Draper, her sisters, Fae Tuttle, Mona Lee Manwill, and Gerry Boulton, her parents and one grandson. A special thank you to all the staff at Family Tree Assisted Living Center for their kind and tender care of our sweet mother. Services will be Saturday, April 7, at Myers Mortuary, 250 N. Fairfield Rd, in Layton. The viewing will be from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. and the funeral will follow at 12:00 noon at the same location. Interment will be at the West Point Cemetery.
