Penelope Ruth Garden

Clearfield - Penelope Ruth Garden passed away April 12, 2009 at Ogden Regional Hospital. She was born September 18, 1948 in Liverpool, England the daughter of Samuel Steinburg and Shirley Tadman. She was married to LeRoy S. Garden; he preceded her in death as did her daughter Sara.

Penelope was an Army nurse in a Mash Unit during the Vietnam War earning the rank of 2nd Lt. She continued her nursing career for 35 years.

She is survived by her son Andy (Kathleen) Garden of Clearfield; 7 grandchildren, Brian, Laura, Sierra, Seth, Aryanna, Maria and Ezra; and a brother Bruce Steinburg of CA.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at the Ogden City Cemetery.

Arrangements under the direction of Myers Mortuary of Ogden.

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations be made to Myers Mortuary to help with funeral expenses.
