Pepper Louise Barney

Pepper Louise Gallegos was born September 2, 1963, in Ogden, Utah, to Linda and Victor Gallegos, and later raised alongside her stepfather, John Weldon. She spent the majority of her life in Ogden, with brief periods living in Oklahoma and Colorado.

Pepper is survived by her husband, Peter Barney, whom she married on September 16, 2018; her daughters Heather Duffield and Randie Campbell ; her siblings Peppie Gallegos, Roy Tucker and Cecil Tucker, and Victoria Gomez; her father Victor; and 14 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother Linda, her stepfather John, her daughter Melissa, her brother Paul Gallegos, and three grandchildren: Shaine, Elise, and Liliana.

Pepper served in many local churches faithfully and devotedly. Later, with that same faithfulness and devotion to his Lord Jesus Christ, he served actively at The People's for 15 years.

A funeral service and viewing will be held on September 8th, 2026 at Myers Mortuary 845 Washington Boulevard, Ogden, Utah 84404 from 10:00 to 12:00 hrs. The burial will take place on Thursday September 10th at Salt Lake City Cemetery at 200 N St E, Salt Lake City, UT 84103.
