Porter Willard Isaccs Obituary (1922 - 2010)

Porter Isaacs OGDEN - Porter Willard Isaacs, 88, passed away Monday, November 22, 2010 at McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden. He was born April 29, 1922 in Enola, Faulkner County, Arkansas to Joseph Alvin and Ora Blanche Tyler Isaacs. Porter lived and attended school in Ammon, Idaho and lived in Utah. He was a veteran serving in the Marines during World War II. Porter married Ramona Ziemer June 26, 1946 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He owned and operated his own sawmill in Ashton, Idaho on the Warm River. He owned Crystal Springs and worked at and retired from HAFB. He loved his family, camping, fishing, hunting, gardening, yard work and neighborhood service. Surviving are his wife, Ramona of Ogden; children: Julie (Robert) Blakley, Lynn (Kimloan) Isaacs, Gloria (Clark) Browne, Wayne (Lisa) Isaacs all of Clinton; Jeanette Wilkenson of Ogden; Jimmy Isaacs of Layton; Brenda (David) Couch of Elwood, UT; siblings: Mick (Owen) Briggs, Bob (Jean) Isaacs, Jack (Donna) Isaacs, all of Idaho; 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his son, Alan Isaacs, parents, four brothers and four sisters. Graveside services will be held Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 1 p.m. at the Clinton City Cemetery, 750 West 800 North. Clinton, Utah, where Military Honors will be accorded.
