Ramona E. Valdez Kelly

OGDEN - Ramona E. Valdez Kelly, 93, our loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother returned home to her Heavenly Father on November 10, 2006.

She was born January 6, 1913 in Chico, New Mexico a daughter of Blas and Virginia S. Trujillo. On August 30, 1933 she married Alfonzo N. Valdez in Maxwell, NM. He preceded her in death on March 17, 1986. She later married Donald G. Kelly, April 17, 1993. He died in September 1999.

Mom retired from Hill Air Force Base after 30 years. She loved dancing, traveling, going to Hawaii, New Orleans, all over Mexico, but she was most proud to visit Rome and meet John Paul II, she also went to San Francisco, CA to see John Paul II again.

She is survived by her three daughters and one son, Viola (Al) Nolan, Sun City, AZ, Robert A. Valdez, Chino, CA, Dorothy M. Conover, Clearfield, UT, Nancy (Bill) Grey, Layton, UT; two sisters, Della (Dave) Randall, Bremerton, WA, Lucia Macias, No. Ogden; one brother, Joe (Lena) Trujillo, No. Ogden; 15 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren and 34 great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her husbands, Alfonso Valdez and Don Kelly; brother Victor Trujillo and two grandsons, Timothy Stulce and Randy Thomas Stulce.

The family would like to express their sincere thanks for the loving care provided by Applegate Hospice/Homecare: Carrie, Holly, Jessica, Gina, Sherry, Mike, Ann, thanks for the beautiful music and Carol for all your hugs and being with us all through the tough times, also Dr. Qader.
