PERRY - On August 3, 2009, in the still of the night, another Honorable Man was called home unexpectedly to his Heavenly Father. Randy Leland Wilde was born in Ogden, Utah on November 19, 1967 to Roger C. and Karen Nielson Wilde. Truly he came to goodly parents.
Randy was blessed to know all his Grandparents. From Grandma and Grandpa Wilde he learned to love pie and fishing and great lessons learned only in the stream. From Grandpa Nielson, who could not hear, he learned to hunt by listening with his eyes. From Grandma Nielson, who loves to gather loved ones, he learned to find joy in his family.
Randy had a grand sense of humor, a warped view of fishing and could really cook a steak. As a youth he loved to march to Grandpa's music, out shine his sisters in 4-H and became an Eagle Scout. Randy graduated from Roy High School in 1986.
He served an honorable LDS Mission in Boston, Massachusetts. Randy met Holly Smith and they were sealed in the Logan Temple on January 19, 1991. They truly love each other.
He graduated from USU in Environmental Health with a minor in Chemistry in June 1995. He worked for Bear River Health Dept. for the past 15 years. He was successful in his work with the youth, the scouting program and community projects. His beliefs and high standards guided his life. His love for the gospel along with respect for his fellow beings will remain a legacy.
He is survived by his wife Holly, and four beautiful daughters; Sara, Callie, Addy and Mandy who will miss his great gift of fun and his wise sense of right and wrong. Also, his parents; Roger and Karen Wilde, sisters; Sherry Wilde, Becky (Kent) Hales, Kristi (Mark) Kish, Grandmother, Louise Nielson, His in-laws; Sidney W. and Bernice Worsley Smith, brother-in-law, David (Wendy) Smith, sister-in-law, Jennifer (Brian) Felt, who felt great love and respect for him.
Randy's presence will be greatly missed by his family and friends. We greatly appreciate the medical services of Brigham City Hospital, Dr. Jeffrey Harrison and a special thanks to all those who have given love and support.
