Laraine Clark Pearce

–

Clarkston, UT

Rangna LaRaine Pearce, our beloved wife, mother, aunt, and friend, returned to her Heavenly Father on October 28, 2018. She was loved by all because of her sincere devotion to her family and friends. Her sweet spirit touched the lives of so many. Very few angels have walked this earth and she was among those who have. Love and kindness best describe her.
She was born March 5, 1923 in Midvale, Utah to Paul M. Clark and Rangna Carlson Clark.
LaRaine was raised in Clarkston, Utah and attended grades one through nine in Clarkston, and then graduated from North Cache High School in Richmond, Utah.
A year later she met the love of her life, Charles Henry Pearce, at a Saturday Evening dance where her uncles, the Clark brothers, played regularly in the band.
They were married on October 20, 1942 in Preston, Idaho just a week before her husband was deployed on the USS Block Island Aircraft Carrier during World War II. When Charles returned from the war, their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple.
LaRaine and Charles purchased a farm on the GI Bill and both ran the farm along with working at Thiokol, in Promontory, Utah. She worked as an administrative assistant in the records department for 14 years and later at Wurlitzer in Logan, Utah for another eight years.
She grew in her life and faith as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in various callings and in the presidencies of the Relief Society, MIA, Sunday School, and Primary Auxiliaries. She was proudly a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.
She loved camping in Dry Canyon, and camping and hunting at Dove Creek where she only missed doing so three years from the time she was 17 years of age until this year. She also enjoyed traveling and vacationing with her family each Summer.
Love of family and close friends were the most important things in her life next to her devotion to the Savior and the Eternal Plan of Happiness.
She is survived by her daughter, Shauna Parker, Providence, Utah; son, Dwight (Bonnie) Pearce, Brigham City, Utah; seven grandchildren, Shane (Cathie) Parker, Holly (Casey) Eggli, Haylee (Scott) Mills, Reagan (Eric) Eliason, MiKell (Tylor) More, Annalise (Rhett) Summers, Jordan (Rebecca) Pearce and 18 great-grandchildren. Also, brother Denzel (Shirleen) Clark, sister in law Shirley (Norman) Pearce; and so many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles, brother, Paul L. Clark and his wife LaRene and two brothers in law: Norman Pearce and Carl Pearce and wife Kathryn.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 12:00 noon in the Clarkston, Utah LDS Ward Chapel, 25 E. 100 S., with a viewing from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. at the Church.
Interment will be at the Clarkston Cemetery.
The funeral will be directed by Myers Mortuary, Brigham City, Utah.
