Ray Elden Welchman

ROY - Ray Elden Welchman, 84, loving husband, dad, grandpa and great grandpa, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on October 25, 2011. He was born August 2, 1927 in Hyde Park, Utah to Ida Bull Welchman.

He married Ivaloo Lofthouse Baugh on December 1st 1950. Together they raised four children. He retired after 32 years of operating heavy equipment from H.A.F.B. He had a great love of the outdoors, gardening, and growing flowers. He especially loved visits from family, friends, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also loved riddles and tongue twisters. His favorite was Blue Bugs Blood, just say that three times fast.

He is survived by his wife Ivaloo, children Elden (Kathy), Lynn (Michelle), Linda (Bart) Williams, and Carolyn (Kirk) Hardman, 16 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and all five siblings.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Roy City Cemetery, 5200 South 2300 West, Roy. Friends may visit on Saturday at the Roy 15th Ward Building, 5725 South 3750 West, Roy from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to services.

He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
