Rayner Leonard Roueche Obituary (1924 - 2007)

Rayner Roueche HOOPER - Rayner Leonard Roueche, 82, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at Orchard Cove in Bountiful, Utah. He was born August 25, 1924 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the son of Leonard C. and Ruth Lee Roueche. He married Leanna Lee Taylor on March 19, 1948. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Leanna passed away December 26, 2004. He was veteran of the United States Marine Corps serving during World War II. Rayner was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving faithfully in many callings. He and Leanna also served for many years at the Family History Center in Ogden. He worked at Hill Air Force Base and retired after 34 years of civil and military service. Rayner was a member of the Farm Bureau Assoc. and National Bee Keepers Association. Survived by his children: Rita (Russell) Germer, Fruit Heights; Cherise Roueche, Beau Roueche, both of Hooper; Cass (Tahna) Roueche, Roy, 17 grandchildren and 16 great-granchildren. Also surviving are brothers Doral (Lucy) Roueche, West Haven; Marion (Marlene) Roueche, Ned (JoAnne) Roueche, Gordon (Sherril) Roueche, all of Kaysville. He was preceded in death by his wife and parents. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 26, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Hooper 3rd Ward, 5601 South 6100 West, Hooper. Family and friends may call on Friday at Myers Mortuary in Roy, 5865 South 1900 West from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services.
