Rebecca Rasmussen Abbott recording.

Rebecca Rasmussen Abbott, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home surrounded by her loved ones on September 16, 2017. Becky was born on April 25, 1958 in Ogden, Utah to Jordan Keith and Thelma Rose Rasmussen.

She attended Ogden City schools and graduated from Ben Lomond High in 1976. She married her high school sweetheart, David Charles Abbott, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple on November 30, 1979. Together, they are the proud parents of 6 children and 14 grandchildren. She had a great love for each member of her family and they are truly the center of her life.

After graduating high school, she worked as a medical billing associate for Professional Management and from home for many years. She worked for Weber County School District and loved the time she spent with the special needs students at Fremont High School.

She will be remembered for her lively personality and great love for babies and children. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a great example of serving others and had a great ability to mourn with those that mourn and comfort those in need of comfort. Throughout her life, she served in many callings within the church, of these callings she loved the time she spent serving the primary children.

Becky is survived by her loving husband, David, and children: Phillip Abbott of North Ogden, Charles (Tess) Abbott of Willard, Candace (Jeff) Douglas of North Ogden, Jordan (Cami) Abbott of North Ogden, Ben Abbott of Ogden, and Madison (Jackson) Andersen of Pleasant View; 14 grandchildren; stepmother, Beverly Brinkerhoff; sister, Christine Campbell; brother, Jay Q.
