CLINTON - Rebecca A. Axmann "Becky" September 18, 1939-November 28, 2005. Becky was born to Earl and Dale Halbert in Mt. Gilead, Ohio, September 18, 1939. She attended local schools and was an honor student.
She graduated from Baptist Missionary Training School, Chicago, Illinois with her Bachelors Degree in Christian Education and Bible.

After graduation she spent a year traveling from Iowa to Maine assisting churches starting youth groups in American Baptist Churches/USA. June 16, 1962 Becky married Richard Axmann, a graduate of Northern Baptist Theological Seminary. Together they began Christian ministry to youth in Southern California while attending and working at California Baptist Theological Seminary. From June of 1961 until October of 2004, Becky actively worked with junior high and senior high youth in settings of a few local youth to thousands of youth gathered from across the nation. She held positions in churches, associations, areas, regions and national youth training and discipleship events.

Becky was first a Child of God, a godly woman, a wife, a mother and wonderful grandmother and a pastor's wife. She rarely worked out of the home always volunteering her time. She continued working for the Lord even after being diagnosed with a stage 4 Ovarian cancer, through surgery and chemo treatments, also serving as President of the American Baptist Churches of the Northwest (Washington, Montana, Idaho and Utah).

She died at home, November 28, and received her heavenly reward after a two-year battle with brain cancer. She respected all persons regardless of who they were, loved them and embraced them, was a writer, reader, gardener, and a godly friend.

She is survived by her husband, three sons and their wives, Jeff/Jeni, Kenneth/Julie and Wally/Beverly, five grandchildren (Andrea, Melissa, Sarah, Nathan and Lucy), mother, and three brothers. She is a woman described very beautifully in Proverbs 31:10-31, The Bible.

The family requests that memorial gifts be considered in lieu of flowers supporting the work of youth in Christian ministry. (Clearfield Community Church or the Becky Axmann Scholarship Fund for Christian Education) God is thanked and praised for the miracles and compassion of the medical community and Community Nursing Services and Hospice and hundreds of hours of volunteer care by the Clearfield Community Church family.
