Rebecca Sue Wilson Kippen

–

Kaysville, UT

Rebecca (Becky) Sue Kippen, beloved wife of Nicholas A Kippen, peacefully passed from this life September 12, 2006 at her home in Kaysville, UT after a valiant and courageous battle with leukemia.

Becky was born September 17, 1976 to David c. and Susan R. Wilson. She entered life with great energy and never stopped until her body finally succumbed to the disease. She attended Kanesville Elementary, Wahlquist Junior High and Weber High until Fremont High was finished. She was part of the first graduating class of Fremont High.

Becky attended Snow College and then decided to serve a mission for her church. She received a call to the St. Louis Missouri mission but that same week she received a proposal from Nicholas Kippen. She graciously declined the mission call to marry Nicholas and raise a family. They were married November 10, 20000 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Soon after their marriage, they moved to San Antonio, Texas, the location of Nicholas' first assignment with the Air Force. They spent five years there and welcomed their twins. In 2006, they were transferred to Hickam AFB in Hawaii, where they planned to learn to surf, sail, fish and welcome a second set of twins to their family. Becky was diagnosed with acute mylogenous leukemia in early February, just a few days before she was to join her husband in Hawaii.

Becky loved life, old movies, trips with her family, fishing, softball, dancing, grandparents and family history. She loved eating and staying over at Grandma Wilson's and shopping with Grandma Richards. Most of all she loved her husband, twins, her family, friends and her Savior.

Having endured many health problems during the course of her life and a devasting illness over the past seven months she has still kindly tutored us all in facing adversity with courage while "having a perfect brightness of hope and love for all." She made new friends of every doctor, nurse or patient she came in contact with and gracefully cheered those who came to comfort her. Becky is survived by her husband, twins, Andrew and Tiffany, her parents, seven brothers and sisters, Josh and Stephanie Wilson, Riverdale; Jenny and Adolfo de Leon, Virginia; Jacob and Abby Wilson, Provo; Aimee and Taz Cherry, South Ogden, Matt Wilson, serving a mission in Florida, Spencer and Krissie, West Haven.

We miss you terribly Becky, but know you were received by grandparents and cousins who preceded you. God be with you till we meet again.

Becky and her families extend a special thanks to overworked oncologists, nurses and staff at both the Huntsman Cancer Institute and the U of U Bone Marrow Transplant Center. We are grat3ful for both your kindness and professionalism.
