Rehan R. Miller Obituary (1914 - 2000)

SOUTH OGDEN - Rehan Rogers Richins Miller, our beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, 86, peacefully passed away Monday, December 25, 2000 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 31, 1914 in Morgan, Utah to Curtis Wilson Rogers and Rachel (Ada) Robison. She was a graduate of Morgan High School and she attended the Smithsonian Business College in Ogden. She married Orville Fowler Richins on November 30, 1934 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He passed away July 18, 1964. On August 31, 1974, she married Clarence L. Miller in the Ogden LDS Temple. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served in various positions including: Primary Presidency, Relief Society Presidency, Laurel advisor, and was a faithful visiting teacher. She was employed for many years at J.C. Penney Co. in the infant department and retired from Hill Air Force Base. She had a great love for young children and many loved to watch her perform the Charleston. Her grandmother, Aurelia Spencer Rogers, organized and was the first president of the LDS Primary Association. She was the last living granddaughter of Aurelia. She portrayed Aurelia on numerous occasions. Surviving are her husband Clarence L. Miller, Plain City; her children and their spouses, Nolan C. and Barbara Richins, Roy; Judy and Clair Barrow, West Haven; Roger O. and Janet Richins, Fruit Heights. Her step-children and their spouses are: Fred and Jan Miller, Michael and Vicki Miller, Linda and Erik Ward, Ogden; Marilyn Grondel Plain City; Margo and Joe Shirley, Summit Park; Ronda and Bill Ernest, Bountiful; and Sharon and Tom Watson, Modesto, California. She had 31 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her brother Dr. R. Max (Florence) Rogers, Provo. She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
