Richard Edmunds Bohling

OGDENa"Richard Edmunds Bohling, age 87, passed away on October 25, 2002, at Wasatch Care Center in Ogden. He was born on January 24, 1914 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Alfred and Leone Bohling. He married Frieda Johnson in the Salt Lake Temple and was sealed by David O. McKay. She died in 1987 after 50 years of marriage.

Richard served in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of World War II. He was an active member of the LDS Church and served in many positions, including Ward Clerk and High Priest Group Leader.

Richard was a loving grandfather and was caring and devoted to his family. He maintained a beautiful yard and garden.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister, William and James Bohling, Dorothy Wiscomb.

Richard is survived by his children, Paul Richard (Barbara) Bohling and Bonnie (John) Thompson, all of Ogden. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Wendy Thompson, Kelly Nordquist, Zak Thompson, Ryan, Sean and Larkin Bohling, two great grandchildren, Ricardo and Aaron Nordquist, one sister, Beth Simpson of Salt Lake City, Utah.
