R. David Candland Jr.

Our beloved father Richard David Candland Jr., a hardworking and giving man, died September 12, 2014. He was born May 19, 1962 in Santa Paula, CA to Richard David and Phyllis Brady Candland. He attended Ogden City Schools and served in the Navy Reserves.

He married Cynthia Elaine Osborne and their marriage was blessed with three beautiful children; Stephanie (Ryan) Holmes, Heather Candland and Bryan Candland. He also had a beautiful granddaughter, Ellie and another one on the way.

He was a member of Washington Heights Church and enjoyed prayer group and the Christmas Theater Dinner.

He owned CC Construction and Roofing.

He enjoyed boating, camping and playing Texas Hold Em. He absolutely loved family get-togethers, going out to eat and going to movies. He loved to cook and entertain everyone. He loved his dog Dewey. He was an aficionado of ice cream and sweets.

Surviving are his three children; his granddaughter; his parents; a sister and 3 brothers; Shellie (Gregory) McDowell, Danny (Karla) Candland, Chad Candland and Brad Candland.

Memorial services will be held Friday, September 19, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Washington Heights Church, 1770 E. 6200 S. Cindy Candland's funeral service will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m.

Arrangements entrusted to Myers Ogden Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers we ask donations be made to the Cindy and David Candland Memorial Account at America First Credit Union for support and education for Cindy's and David's children.
