Richard Keckler

Richard Keckler Jr. passed away at age 78 on October 6, 2026 next to his loving wife of 55 years, Oi P. Keckler, in the home they built together in North Ogden, Utah.

He was born in Hagerstown, Maryland on April 24, 1945. He joined the Air Force and traveled to multiple countries including Thailand, where he met his wife Oi while he was reading a book. There is probably never a time you wouldn't catch Richard reading. It was one of his hobbies besides being a caring, full-hearted individual.

Richard would always be willing to give a hand to anybody that needed it. He always thought about others. He was the kindest, most thoughtful person I knew. He was a great role model in how a person should be. A great father figure and an extraordinary husband. He always made sure to provide and keep his family taken care of.

A celebration of Richard's life will be held at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Boulevard in Ogden, Utah at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 16, 2026.
