Richard B. "Dick" Kristofferson

OGDEN- Richard B. Kristofferson 65, returned to his heavenly father on June 8, 2002, due to complications of cancer. He was born in Ogden, Utah, on January 23, 1937, son of Byron and Bonnie Kristofferson.

He was a member of the LDS Church, 54 Ward. He was educated in Ogden but finished his GED while in the Marine Corps. After time in the military he married Marilyn Child. He co-owned Beehive Roofing with his long time friend Stan Hufstetler. When not working hard he spent his days hunting and fishing with close friends. He was a life member of the Elks Lodge # 719.

He is survived by his wife Marilyn, four children RaeLynn (Lance) Mckee, Layne (Wendy) Kristofferson, Rick Kristofferson, and Keelee (Cassidy) Drake. He is also survived by his mother Erma "Bonnie" Kristofferson-Jenson, grandchildren Marinda, Arianna, Stephen, Shane, Jamie, Amber, Kristen, Mckayla and one great-granddaughter Cienna. Also niece and nephews, Rob, Tom and Chris Kristofferson, Randy and Kelly LaRose and Robin (Kenny) Bain. And many special friends that he considered family.

He was Preceded in death by his father Byron "Bill" Kristofferson, stepfather Leo Jensen, his brother Jimmy Kristofferson, sister Shanna LaRose, his grandson Shelby Richard Colyer. To all that knew him the Gone fishin sign is out. Shelby and Grandpa are Catching The Big Ones.
