Richard Anthony "Neener" Wilkey
Richard Anthony "Neener" Wilkey, beloved son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew and friend to all was born in Salt Lake City on July 13, 1980. He left this earth surrounded by his family on October 16, 2004.
Anthony graduated from Weber High School on June 8, 2000. He was a member of the Catholic Church. Anthony loved life, sports and was an awesome basketball player. He loved movies, music, the Dallas Cowboys and the Utah Jazz. He also loved to laugh, tease and make others laugh. He loved his hats and baggy pants. He also loved his mom's chicken enchiladas and fruit salad. He loved his family so much and wanted nothing more than to be home. Anthony was loved more than anything and will be so very missed. We love you buddy. He was such an awesome uncle and loved his video games. Rest in peace my son.
Anthony is survived by his parents, Bernadette and Anthony Quintana and Richard and Shirley Wilkey; grandparents, Anita Perea, Ralph Perea and Dottie Byrd, Joyce and David G. Buck, Ray Wilkey, Steve and Lucy Quintana; three nephews and one niece, Michael, Trinity, Manny and Jacob. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Trishelle Wilkey (Jeremy Dewitt), Johnny Christopher Wilkey, Jennifer Wilkey, Britni Bushnell and Tyler Quintana; very special Godparents, Louie and Helen Vega; best friends, Freddy Quintana and Corey Spruill and many other loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Special thanks to all the staff at McKay Dee Hospital for all their kindness and love toward the family, as well as their efforts to save Anthony.
