Robert Hill Bowman

ROY - Robert Hill Bowman, 88, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden.
He was born June 19, 1923 in Portland, Oregon, a son of James R. and Charlotte E. Bowman.
He married Beverly June Cummings November 25, 1949 in Ogden, Utah, and was later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple.

He was a graduate of Weber State College and University of Utah.

He served in the Armed Forces during WWII and was a member of the LDS Church. Bob worked 26 years as the Public Information Officer at Hill Air Force Base. He was a member of the Utah Air Force Association and was selected "Man of the Year" in 1972. He later worked at ZCMI. After retirement, Bob and Beverly spent 25 winters in St. George, Utah at the Temple View RV Park.

He is survived by his wife Beverly, children: Kristine (Jeff) Rawlings; Ronald (Debra) Bowman; Robbyn (David) Dunn, ten grandchildren and five and one half great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West from 6 to 8 p.m. Roy.

The family would like to offer their thanks to the staff and management of the George E. Wahlen Veterans' Home for taking such wonderful care of Bob during his time there. Thank you to the Doctors and Staff at McKay-Dee Hospital.
