Robert Eugene Czech, 77, passed away at his residence in Uintah, Utah on Saturday, July 13, 2013. He was born June 5, 1936 to George Robert Czech and Dora Irene Klucas. He attended school in Watertown, SD where he received his high school diploma. Robert was a member of the LDS Church and attended the Uintah 2nd Ward.

Robert married Janice Doreen Nielsen on August 21, 1954 in Great Lakes, Illinois; they were sealed October 25, 1966 in the Oakland California Temple. Robert was a devout member of the LDS faith. He loved gardening, genealogy, computers, and all people. Robert was a strength and strong loving example to his family and anyone he came in contact with. His riches in life were his family.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1954 to 1975, with multiple tours in Vietnam. He was a Chief Petty Officer when he retired. He lived in South Dakota, Virginia, Illinois, Minnesota, California and Utah.

He is survived by his children, Teressa (Gary) Schierbaum, Steven (Sandy) Czech, Cindy (Donald) Campbell, Christopher Czech, Daniel (JoAnn) Czech, Laurie (Derek) Young, Dana (Sara) Czech; his brother, Marvin (Maxine) Czech; 24 Grandchildren and 26 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Doreen Czech; father, George Robert Czech; mother, Dora Irene Klucas and sister, Marie Beckman.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at the Uintah 2nd Ward Chapel, 6660 S. 1775 E., Uintah, Utah. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 17th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. Ogden, Utah and prior to the service at the church on Thursday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Interment at the Uintah Cemetery where Military Honors will be accorded.
