Robert Lee Loftis died at home with loved ones on December 17, 2017, following a brief, acute illness.

Bob was born on June 24, 1937, and mostly raised by foster parents Floyd and Carmen Poulson in Ogden, Utah. Later in life he reconnected with his beloved Loftis siblings.

He married his eternal companion Wanda Ann Wimmer on December 18, 1961, in the Logan LDS Temple and was blessed with four loving and devoted children. Bob graduated from Ogden High, Weber State, and BYU. He served in the U.S. Navy. He relocated his family to the Chicago area in 1966, returning to Ogden 20 years later. During his career, he taught seminary and math and worked in sales.

Bob emulated the Savior. He had the faith of the child and the knowledge of a scholar. He was meek and tender hearted. He remained faithful no matter the challenge or disappointment. He served with all of his might, mind, and strength. His life was built upon the rock of his Redeemer. He touched many with his wit, wisdom, humor, depth, and compassion.

He found his greatest sense of worth and accomplishment in his family and serving as an ordinance worker in the Ogden LDS Temple. He was a powerful teacher, supportive grandpa, true friend, advocate, and mediator. He loved music, history, and philosophy.

Bob left a hole that can never be filled and a legacy that will never be forgotten.

He is survived by his wife Wanda and children Robert Chet (Jennifer), Timothy Lee (Maria), Alese (Tom), and KT (Steve) and their 20 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his natural and foster parents and many siblings.
