CLEARFIELD - Roberta Deone Binkley, 80, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2011 at Rocky Mountain Care Center in Clearfield, Utah where she had been residing for the past several years.

She was born January 2, 1931 in Salt Lake City, Utah, daughter of George W. and Alice L. Merritt. She was raised in Salt Lake City. She moved for a short time to California and worked for Douglas Aircraft.

She married John D. Binkley in Temple City, California in 1952. She worked as a lunch lady at Doxey Elementary school in Sunset and also later worked as a Nurse's Aide at Davis Hospital in Layton.
Roberta loved to shop; plant flowers in her yard, sew and visit with friends.

Roberta is survived by her husband John D. Binkley and her children: David K and wife Theresa Binkley of Harvest, Alabama; Michael S. Binkley of Sunset, Utah; Debra L. and husband William R. Connett, Jr. of Layton, Utah; and Linda M. and husband Jeff S. Runyan of Gunnison, Utah; and grandchildren David Jr., Travis, J.D. Katie, Laura, Steven, Charmaine, Billy, Nina, Whitni and Erica, and three great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Friday, June 24, 2011 at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 1342 E. 500 S. Salt Lake City, Utah.
