Roland Wise

Roland Wise, 75, passed away peacefully at home. He was born on March 25, 1943 to William Benjamin and Wilhelmina Ekstrom Wise in Malad, Idaho. He enlisted in the U.S. Army at an early age.

He married Ada K. Byrne. Together, they had 5 children, but later divorced. He married Dolores Mitchell. She brought 4 children into their marriage. They were married for 37 years.

He worked for Hill Air Force Base for 30 years. He and Dolores spent many days in their cabin at Sunridge. He especially loved hunting with his sons.

Roland is survived by his faithful and loving wife, Dolores; his children: Raymond, Kenneth, Troy, Leon, and Justin; stepchildren: Debra Rothey, Gordon and Edward Mitchell; 23 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Maxine Stone. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Harold, Robert, and Lamont Ekstrom; sisters: Dorothy, Galin, and June Ekstrom; and stepson, Tim Mitchell.

Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, July 6, 2018 at Ogden City Cemetery, 1875 Monroe Blvd., Ogden.
