Ronny Gene Mitchell Obituary (1951 - 2010)

Ronny Gene Mitchell July 13, 1951 - November 20, 2010 Ronny Gene Mitchell was born to Ronald L. and Jeanne Marie (Jones) Mitchell on July 13, 1951. He joined a family of three older sisters not knowing there was one younger sister yet to arrive. He was an only boy outnumbered by four bossy sisters living in Sunset, Utah. He attended Sunset Elementary School, Sunset Junior High School, and graduated from Clearfield High School in 1969. He joined the US Army and served in Germany. He was honorably discharged in 1974. Ronny married Terry Fisher and together they had two children, twins Brandon and Lori. They later divorced. He also has a daughter Crystal. Ron loved fishing, hunting, golfing and 'shootin' the breeze'. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, especially his sisters Vicki and Jill. After several years of health problems, he recently survived triple bypass heart surgery. He passed away at home, November 20, 2010. Brother Ron, rest in peace, the pain is no more. Ronny is survived by his children, Brandon (Marcie) Mitchell and their children Curtis and Lilly Anne, Pasco, WA, Lori Walker and children Ashley and Dalton Walker, and RheAnn Mitchell, Logan, UT and Crystal Mitchell, FL. He is also survived by his four bossy sisters, Connie (Merlin) James, St. George, UT , Vicki (Brent) Carlin, Riverdale, UT , Kim Carlos (Joe Taylor) Ogden, UT , and Jill McQuirk, Riverdale, UT. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at 11:00 a.m., at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West, Roy, Utah. Friends may visit the family from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m., prior to services. Interment in the Utah Veterans Memorial Park in Draper, where Military Honors will be accorded.
