Rosellen Owens Wood Obituary (1916 - 2004)

Rosellen Vroman Owens Wood OGDEN - After a long illness, our Mother and Grandmother passed away peacefully in her home on January 19, 2004. Rosellen was born on May 1, 1916 to William John and Arba T. Owens in North Platte, Nebraska. She married William H. Wood on December 31, 1937 and resided with him in Ogden until he passed away on October 14, 1984. Rosellen continued to live in their home in Ogden until her passing. The most lovable person in the world, Rosellen was a member of several organizations including Eastern Star, as well as the Southern Pacific Old Timers. She was also a member of the Ascension Lutheran Church. The family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. Glen Biddulph for his loving care of Rosellen during her last years. Without his devoted and passionate attention to her health, we would not have been able to enjoy her wonderful sense of humor as long as we did. We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to IHC Hospice and Terry and Irene from Granny's Nannys. Terry and Irene have become members of our family. Rosellen is survived by her son, Kenneth W. (Ilene Lucas) Wood Sr. of Bullhead City, AZ and her daughter Betty W. (Jack) Broadaway of Pleasant View, UT. She also leaves behind her sister-in-law and close friend, Mrs. Genevieve Jensen. Rosellen had ten grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
