Rowe Salway Obituary (1922

Rowe (Rick) Salway FARR WEST - Rowe (Rick) Salway, 80, passed away as a result of a traffic accident on August 11, 2003. He was born on October 18, 1922 in Cardston, Alberta, Canada. Rick served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during WWII. During the war he met and married Elizabeth Mae Griffen on December 7, 1944 and they and their family were later sealed on July 12, 1960 in the Cardston Temple. They lived 17 years in Ontario, Canada before moving their family to California where they lived for 27 years before moving to Utah in 1990. After celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary, Elizabeth passed away in 1995. Rick married Marge Westergard in 1998 and they resided in Farr West, Utah. Rick will always be remembered for his optimistic attitude, his unconditional love, and his untiring service to family, church and community. Rick was well know for his handyman skills, his love of gardening and sports, especially basketball and golf which he played throughout his life. Rick made everyone and everything he touched more beautiful. He is survived by his sons, Rick and Tom, and his daughters, Marilyn, Susan, Dona Mae and their spouses. Rick's life has been blessed with 24 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
