Rozann Hillyard Porter Obituary (1937 - 2010)

Rozann Hillyard Porter ROY - Our loving mother Rozann passed away peacefully on January 30, 2010. She was born on February 17, 1937 to Melvin and Elda Hillyard. She grew up on a farm in Amalga, Utah where she barrel raced her horses. She graduated from North Cache High School, where she met her sweetheart Arden. They married on September 19, 1957 in the Logan LDS Temple. She was in the Monte Vista Ward. She held many church positions, she especially enjoyed her calling as Relief Society President. She was a member of the Daughters of The Utah Pioneers. She worked at American Savings Bank. She liked to fish, camp, travel, square dance, sew, and plant flowers in her yard. The true joy in her life are her children, Lori, Robert, Jed and Amy. She has one sister, Vernice and one brother, Lynn (deceased). She has 12 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 S. 1900 W. Roy. Friends and family may call on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Thursday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services.
